I like this video about interracial couples. I like the glimpse into their relationships and the way they interact.

I don't like the part with the "psychologist" who talks about the show "Friends" being racist because the "friends" don't have any black friends. That's not a racist portrayal. Many groups of friends are of a single race and that doesn't mean that the "group" is racist. Anyways, only individuals can be racists.

I'm also not sure how "bad" it is that young children have a tendency to conceptualize marriage as a mainly intra-racial thing. This may be based on their own empirical observations.

New member of the family

For my birthday, we welcomed a new member of the family!

Please welcome Alfredo Pescatore. We call him Freddy, for short.

When he goes incognito, his alias is Alfred Fishman…

Alfredo is an oranda, which is a type of goldfish. We picked him out because he was very lively and danced in front of us in the pet store. He is very cute and this morning he was sleeping on the bottom of his bowl!
